Transcript: Submit directly to the UT Graduate School: Official transcripts of all college and university coursework Recommendation Letter: Three (3) letters of recommendation are required. Essay: An essay which indicates why they are interested in pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at UTK. Students are strongly encouraged to touch on the following points: cite examples of your experiences that demonstrate the personal ambition necessary to succeed in landscape architecture at UTK discuss your primary motivations for pursuing a degree in landscape architecture explain why the School of Landscape Architecture at UTK is the preferred program for you to launch a career in landscape architecture. Portfolio: A portfolio illustrating evidence of visual creativity and/or graphic capabilities. Applicants with prior design experience or training such as a 4-year pre-professional landscape architecture or landscape design degree who wish to apply for advanced standing must show prior design work in a portfolio. Applicants with no prior design training are free to submit a portfolio of creative work, but it is not a requirement.
